Week 1: Foundation
We’ll start with the fundamentals of PR where you’ll learn:
What PR is, and how can it work for your business.
How PR is different from advertising and marketing.
The logistics of how the media industry works, and the difference between an editor, reporter, freelancer, and blogger.
3 mindset shifts to help you create a solid foundation before implementing your PR plan.
Week 2: Brand Clarity
Once you know what PR is and how it can work for your business, you’ll learn to how to turn your story into news-worthy headlines by mastering:
The fundamentals of storytelling and brand clarity.
How to share your story in a way that’s clear and effective.
How to identify your content pillars and use them to create a year-long content and PR plan.
Week 3: Media targets
After you’re clear about your brand story, it’s time to identify your media targets. You’ll learn:
How to find the right media targets for your business.
How to create a media list that aligns with your goals.
Where to find contact details for your media targets (plus, support with creating a media list using Cision, a database with access to over 1 billion journalists and bloggers).
WEEK 4: THE ART OF PITCHING
After you’ve identified your media targets, you’ll perfect your pitch with:
Customizable pitch templates
Insight on how to structure your pitch and what exactly you should say.
Hands-on help and feedback with writing your own pitch.
Week 5: Putting it out there
Along with our weekly group coaching calls, you’ll also have a one-on-one session with me every week. One you’re ready to put it out there, I’ll support you with:

Insight on when to follow up, and what to say when you do
How to continue the conversation with a journalist after you’ve gotten a response.
Week 6: Amplifying your PR wins
During our last week together, we’ll discuss how to amplify your PR wins and integrate PR into your overall digital marketing strategy for 2020. You’ll learn:
How to repurpose press mentions on your website, social media channels and newsletters.
How to leverage your PR efforts to increase credibility with customers, sponsors, and other target audiences.
